For the umpteenth time, Zim found himself sighing as he tried to concentrate on the checkups he wanted to do, on the station's operating system. Concentration was hard to hold on to, however, when he found his eyes drifting over to where Dib lay, on one of the padded, pink benches to sleep off the stress. The boy had cried for nearly an hour straight, only stopping when exhaustion got the better of him and the alien had to help move him to a spot where he could rest.
Shaking his head, Zim tried to go back to running system checks while the human slept. There was nothing else to do for the alien.
He managed a full five minutes more before he threw up his arms with a frustrated huff, simply switching the station's main computer on to run a standard diagnosis instead of making a more thorough, manual checkup. Slowly and stealthily, as not to rouse the resting human, Zim drew closer, taking a seat just next to Dib to watch him instead of the screens.
Even in sleep, the boy's face was drawn

Raphael didn't sleep.
He knew he probably should, like the rest of his family did, but he couldn't. Not when he needed to watch over the sleeping infant. Make sure the little being was still breathing, still sleeping peacefully.
Still sitting by the closed door, he cradled the baby safely in his arms, soothing it back to sleep whenever the little one started fussing.
Distantly, he could hear the quiet sounds of the lair waking up and leaned his head back against the wall. Despite the cleansing talk he'd had with Donatello, he didn't feel ready to go out to meet them.
In the kitchen, Leonardo was the first to arrive, yawning and putting some coffee on. Tired, blue eyes turned to stare at Raphael's door, as if willing it to open.
It didn't happen.
With a sigh, he turned his attention back to the brewing coffee. It wasn't his favorite drink, but It would help wake him up, put some energy into him that he suspected he would need for the day.
The strong scent of fresh coffee hit him and he

ZADR -Answer-I squint my eyes against the cold breeze, hoping vehemently that the rain won't start until I'm in the restaurant. I'm meeting somebody somebody I haven't seen in a while. He was my first boyfriend. Now he's my best friend. The excitement at seeing him is a tingling warmth in my stomach that combats the chill of the weather.
The high pitch of one of the voices ahead of me catches my attention and I look upward.
They've been walking side by side for a few blocks now, bickering animatedly. The taller one is pale and slender with jet-black hair and a long trench coat and a blue scarf. The other is shorter with dark hair. He's wearing a red jacket and black, snug jeans. The way he's walking is hilarious.
"Truly you are a fool," she short one says, and he means it, which makes me grin.
"Am I?" the tall one asks, voice full of humor.
"Yes. How dare you question me."
The tall one snickers. "Sorry."
"Bah!" The taller one glances at the shorter. "I do not want your pa-THE-tic apologies."
